Are your products ready to eat, or do I have to cook them?
All our canned products are commercially sterile and ready to eat straight from the package. They undergo a thermal process to ensure safety and shelf stability. While they can be used in recipes that require cooking or heating, no additional preparation is needed.

Do you offer products that are low in sodium?

What is the shelf-life of your products?

How should I store the product before opening?
To maintain the quality of Furmano’s products, it is recommended that they be stored in a cool, dry environment. The ideal storage conditions are
- Temperature: 65ºF or below
- Humidity: 50% relative humidity
- Storage range: 40ºF – 85ºF
Make sure to store the products in a place where these conditions can be maintained until you’re ready to use them.
How should I store the product after opening?
After opening, transfer the product to an air-tight container and store it in the refrigerator for 3-5 days to retain freshness.
How do I read the product manufacturing code on the product or the case?
Our products are currently identified with a manufacturing code date on each container.
An example of a code date is: A25040.
- The first character refers to the batch number: A.
- The year of manufacture is the second character: 25 (2025).
- The day of manufacture in Julian dates are the last 3 characters: 040 (February 9).
